Noise in the area - The waterfront road is busy & all properties within this area are subject to some road noise. This home is set-back & elevated & has been well insulated to provide comfort & quiet. The road will be busiest during weekday mornings & late-afternoon commute times.

Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm or from noon where the option of early check-in has been purchased.
Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Rocks Road is possibly the best location from which to see Nelson's spectacular water views. A place of truly remarkable natural beauty yet such a short distance from a city, popular beach & many amazing eateries!
Uber/Taxis are readily available (less than an 8min. ride from here to the city), there is a bus stop nearby, you could take advantage of Nelson's extensive cycleway network or make your way to/from the city or beach by foot :-)
Downtown (major shopping) is 2km away, Tahunanui Beach (including kayak and SUP rental, water park, go karting and mini golf) is 900M away on a scenic walking path, and the first of many high end restaurants is <600M away.

On The Rocks Really Rocks This property is absolutely amazing. From the location to the view it's a dream come true. We were in Nelson to celebrate the family Patriarch's 90th birthday. We had 2 adult children and a partner staying with us and the house and it's layout was superb. We cooked together, used the grill and read on the patio all the while enjoying the amazing view. If you're lucky enough to find this property available, grab it. You will not be disappointed.

Hi Rob and Co, We absolutely loved staying at your lovely property in Rocks Road. Many happy memories for my husband and family that were in town for his father's 90th birthday. Two small things, first we broke a pint glass but found 2 at an op shop in Nelson so have replaced it +1, and I believe one of the recessed lights in the kitchen is burned out. I was really impressed with this property. It's in the perfect location overlooking the water. The city centre is within walkable distance and the airport is just 5 minutes drive away. Best of all, it's just a few minutes walk to the beach. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it for a group of friends or a family. my family of 5 loved our stay.

Kia ora Holiday Nelson Just to say we had a wonderful time in Nelson and surrounding area. They accommodation was wonderful, the views made it really special, especially when we had the sunset and waking up to the sunshine. The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable and suited all our needs. We really enjoyed having breakfast watching the activities on the waterfront across the road, paddle boarders, surfers, swimmers and boats. One day we saw the whale rescue training on the beach! We are now safely back in the UK after a very long journey. I am sure we will be back in Nelson visiting the family again in the years to follow and have said, we will book early to hopefully be able to book the same accommodation again. Best wishes

Perfect location for ease to walk along the waterfront and to head back over the hill to the town centre. Plenty of parking for our two big vehicles. The views were pretty special. Really relaxing to sit and watch the paddle boarders pass by on the still water. Plenty of cooking utensils and pots etc in the kitchen. Heat Pump took the chill off the winter evenings and having bedrooms at opposite ends of the house gave us all the privacy we wanted. Plenty of blankets and towels.

Hi Sara We stayed at The Rocks on 24th February to 28th it was only three of us not the four that were booked. Our stay was just lovely and we were all very happy with the accommodation and everything that was included. Some people before us had not put the correct rubbish/ recycling etc in the correct bins but we emptied and re-arranged the bins. If ever we are your way again we would love to stay. Hi Sara, Mara, Jarrod and Rob - all, We absolutely loved your house and we were sorry that we could not stay longer to enjoy the house, wonderful deck and view. We appreciated the finishing touches to make our stay very comfortable. I must say it was also a very warm house with great beds. We were all appreciative of these assets especially when we arrived much later than intended. Too much to stop and experience on the way!
