We wanted a place for a getaway weekend in Nelson and the ‘Beach Views’ home absolutely delivered. The steep hill location is too far to make walking convenient, but we had a rental car and everything we needed (from shops, to beach to restaurants) was a 5-10 minute drive. And the hillside location both has spectacular views and is tucked in on the leeward side of the hill so the prevailing winds are somewhat blocked and the deck is comfortable and usable throughout the day and evening. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the hosts were very responsive. If we are back in Nelson in the future we would love to stay again.

We stayed in Nelson as an epic storm hit, without outdoor options limited that house was great to cozy up in. The heating keeps it warm, the kitchens well set up, there's good instructions for using things, and the windows make for an awesome changing view. Thank you, we'll be back when the sunshines out.

BeachViews was a spectacular house with tremendous views of an every-changing bay. It was equipped with everything one could want. We made great use of the patio area as we FaceTimed with friends, using the bay as a backdrop so they would feel jealous. After coming out of three physically-challenging days at Abel Tasman, this house was the perfect place for us to relax. Also, we had a great fish dinner at The Styx down the street. Holiday Nelson did a great job of keeping us informed about procedures, etc. And thanks to Ola for getting in touch the day of arrival.

Spending a week here was perfect. A great location with a stunning view. The home is just lovely, but needs a tiny bit of work. The deck tiles are loose and the toilets need a bit of help as they’re not working well. Other than those small things, it was a fantastic place to chill out after spending weeks on the move enjoying the South Island. I would definitely return here.

Holiday Nelson was absolutely fantastic in terms of check in and communication. The house is gorgeous, and the views are sublime. It’s a short walk to the beach, yet is up high on the cliff, with some very high-end villas as neighbors. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Nelson.

Kia ora! We had such a wonderful stay of 2 nights at the house after spending 5 days trekking Abel Tasman National Park. The house was everything and more with the most wonderful views. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and more. It was also very clean and tidy. The only downfall was there was no gas for the BBQ so that was very disappointing as we were looking forward to a BBQ dinner. I would love to come back again and stay here and would highly recommend to anyone considering.

The views from the property were amazing. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 downstairs and 1 loft bedroom up a very steep set of stairs in an open area above the kitchen and living area. We found the steps hazardous for kids and adults alike. The two downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms lovely (though no shampoo!).

Enjoyable long weekend stay overlooking the beach We stayed for 4 nights in spring - a bit chilly at night but lovely during the day. The house was well appointed with stunning views over the beach and bay, with snow on the hills in the distance. Our son took the upstairs “loft” bed and office desk, we were downstairs. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay, we’d come here again.

We absolutely loved this home. Things we especially liked, the view, amazing, everyday was different, it added incredible space to the house and was just a real treat to get a view of the Tahunanui beach, and seascape. Brilliant coffee machine-really good quality, we have struggled to find this at places we stay, usually resorting to taking our own, and the very large garage, with internal access. We have expensive mountain bikes and a lot of mountain biking gear, this provided a very good and secure place to store everything, again, we have struggled to find this in places we stay. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time. We have a very,very busy life and this was certainly the reprieve we needed. Probably the best house we have stayed in for location, and amenities. We loved the view-my husband would live in the sea if he could. The garage was brilliant, we have very expensive mountain bikes, and two e-bikes (worth more then our family car) so the size and security of the garage was a real bonus. The coffee machine, at last, a place with a very good coffee machine, as Rob saw, we take ours with us, and it was the same machine. Small things like the pillows, you would be surprised at how many places have terrible pillows. Also the pantry staples were helpful. I cook everything as I mentioned our son is a type 1 Diabetic and we rarely eat out, as most food is high carb, high sugar in cafes and restaurants, even these days. We have stayed in many, locally and internationally and this was right up there. Thanks so much also for the very speedy and positive communication.

A really relaxing place to stay. Beds were comfy. Great coffee machine in the kitchen! Easy check in and out with lock box and always quick communication from the hosts. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property! The description of the property online doesn’t do it justice. The house is great and may just have the best view anywhere in the world! We had a great stay and the house had everything we needed. We spent lots of time looking at the changing views across the bay- beautiful! We had a minor plumbing issue and the owners responded within half an hour- you couldn’t ask for more. The house is up quite a steep hill so the walk back from Nelson was a bit of a challenge- but the views more than made up for it.

Thank you, our feedback is that the property matched its description on Expedia and met our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. We worked hard to leave the house as we found it so could you confirm that there is no charge to us against the bond, thank you. The negatives were the lack of blinds and adequate curtains, for example in one bedroom, there is a window without any blind or any covering meaning that early morning light is a nuisance. Similarly the main bedroom has thin white curtains which don’t stop the light. The other negative was the rubbish. Every motel we stayed in here in NZ collected rubbish after each guest but in this property we arrived to find the recycling bin over three quarters full with someone else’s rubbish and our instructions were to put other people’s rubbish out and to take ours elsewhere. We thought for the cost of this property, the rubbish collection arrangements were not suitable. Thank you for your assistance, it was helpful to know you were there. Happy new year.

Hi, Thank you again for staying and we're glad you enjoyed your stay and we confirm there are no additional charges. Thank you for leaving the home in good order, the housekeepers made no special notes and the clean was completed in the standard timeframe. Room without window treatments - do you mean the loft bedroom? The skylight window actually has a pulldown blind in it and very little morning light will come up into that room from below. But please let us know if you think we need to do more to address light here. Rubbish and recycling - this is a difficult problem for commercial operators of holiday homes at this time of year. Our housekeepers cannot reasonably be expected to carry waste in their vehicles and Nelson's recycling service comes once every two weeks with many deferred pick up-dates through the public holiday periods. We have a commercial pick up for the rubbish bin that comes every week, but no such service is available for recycling. We do our best to be clear in our instructions to guests to please squash and separate recyclables to maximise the bin space and where large quantities of recycling are generated we ask that guests take this to the recycling station. We have to acknowledge, however, that not all guests are respectful of these rules or the impact on following guests when ignored. We're very sorry this affected your stay. While we'd like to see all recyclables recycled we could order an additional rubbish bin for the Summer season. Fingers crossed the council here acknowledges that recycling is the lions share of waste these days and increases pick up frequency in future. Once again, thank you for staying. Highly recommend this house. It was perfect for our grown family of 6. Very spacious, clean and tidy with excellent facilities. When booking I thought the photos may have enhanced the house a bit but it was better than the photos. Incredible view, really handy location and great coffee machine! Excellent communication via email with the hosts. Would definitely stay there again. Just one thing - the kitchen tap handle kept coming off, it was like that when we arrived so you may want to get it fixed.

We received correspondence from Jarrod prior to arrival providing us with all the information that we needed for our stay. We also had the pleasure of meeting him during our stay. We had a slight problem hooking up to the WiFi which Jarrod was straight onto. He couldn’t have been more accommodating, he was an excellent host, thank you. Beach Views was perfect in every way and we have enjoyed a very memorable holiday. The property was well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The location and views are stunning and we spent hours on the balcony enjoying the barbecue and the views across the bay. It’s positioned in a lovely quiet residential area and in striking distance of so many beautiful parts of the South Island. We couldn’t have wished for more

We loved staying here. Such a wonderful view from every room and the layout was very open and comfortable. Our adult family of 5 had plenty of space, and the kitchen/laundry/bathrooms had everything we needed. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest restaurants (and Nelson has great restaurants) but the views and scenery on the walk make it seem shorter. So relaxing watching the sun set over the bay - this is an awesome property and I intend going back!

Thank you for your email. Our stay in the lovely home at 53 The Cliffs was most enjoyable. The house was absolutely beautiful, the kitchen comprehensive, the two lower bedrooms were comfortable and enjoyed having our own bathrooms which were also fabulous. The third bedroom would not have been a possibility for anyone but quite young people, as the stairs to the bedroom were awkward in shape and difficult to climb. We were happy we were only two couples. The third bedroom was also on a mezzanine and open to the kitchen below. Of this we were not aware. The kitchen had a few problems, the sink missing a plug, the top element in the oven dropped and dangerous and one of the stove elements were not working. I found your response to these problems quick but you were unable to fix the stove and oven while we were there which was understandable. We did pay a substantial price for the house and I would have thought that these problems would have been picked up by the cleaner or maintenance before our arrival. The views are sensational and despite minor inconveniences we were very happy. I am grateful that you did respond to those problems and should we come again will certainly look again at your site. Hi Suzanne, Thanks again for staying and for taking the time to provide your feedback. ?In our listings, we describe the 3rd bedroom as a mezzanine or loft bedroom accessed by steep nautical style stair, but I will double check that we've made this sufficiently clear on every listing. Following your stay, I personally attended to the issues raised - we very much appreciated you raising these. I replaced the plug, refixed the element (this had simply been knocked or dropped from its seat/holder?) and found the stove burners all working fine, despite your finding and confirmation of the issue by Rob! It's likely that there was some tiny food debris or such that had obstructed the gas flow, preventing the flame and activating the safety cut-off. We will the burner at turnovers in case of recurrence. Please accept our sincere apologies that these issues were not detected and remedied prior to your stay. We're greatly relieved that you still enjoyed your time here and that you would use our services again! This holiday home in Nelson did NOT disappoint. The owners sent easy-to-follow access instructions and information binder in the home. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. This is a gorgeous home in a very upscale neighborhood overlooking the bay. Property is far nicer than my own residence, but what a treat for my family…if you are going to visit this part of NZ, don't be afraid to spend a bit extra,and not less than 3 days; you may never see this beautiful country again! Though I already plan to return. The location is somewhat tricky, but the proximity to Abel Tasman (Kaiteriteri Kayaks) the "great wine trail" and some fantastic restaurants (Boat Shed, Ford"s) ,not to mention the spectacular views and elegant facilities, made our visit most memorable. Truly a highlight of our 3 week visit !

Hi Jarrod and Peta-Jane, We absolutely loved Beach Views house in Nelson. Location was great – so quiet, awesome views. The house was fantastic – very clean which always make you feel comfortable straight away and all the little things that make a holiday easier – Wifi, soap, cling wrap, dishwashing liquid, cloths etc etc. We really felt at home. Booking was simple and straight forward and it was so easy turning up and getting the key.

The BeachView property was super! We had a wonderful vacation. However, we did notice that the upward-lifting door to the cupboard with the microwave in it did not stay open, making it a little tricky to use the microwave. Also, some of the kitchen items (cooking utensils, cutting boards, etc.) were not completely clean. Cutting boards had some minor food residue left on them, some of the cooking utensils felt a bit sticky and needed a good scrubbing (although, at first glance they seemed clean). This did not bother us, but we thought you might want to know for future guests. Otherwise our stay was perfect. We loved the cupboard full of board games, toys and puzzles, as well as the upstairs loft. We are hoping to stay at the BeachView property again, next time we visit Nelson. E Tepper.
