This place is in a cute hillside neighborhood that is close to things of interest. Matches the description & photos. As for the driveway that others have commented about, it is steep but fine… I had an enormous SUV & had no problem. I would recommend driving up the driveway, then do a three-point turn to park head-first so it’s easy to leave later

Amazing hosts, amazing place, amazing views! Very accommodating & friendly. The house was immaculate but homely. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you for accommodating myself, my kids and our dog at such short notice. We loved our stay & it made what is a very stressful time a lot less difficult! The house & views are so beautiful, we can’t rate you high enough. Thank you

This holiday home is quite simply gorgeous. 4 good size rooms all with Queen Beds. 2 bathrooms. 2 toilets. A lovely combined kitchen, meals, lounge area with magnificent views of the bay. Oh and the views from the outdoor spa…just gorgeous. The home is well appointed with everything you could need in a home away from home. I also can’t forget the amazing service from the agent for this property ‘Holiday Nelson’. Efficient, friendly and helped us book this beautiful home at short notice. Super grateful. We will definitely book through Holiday Nelson again.

Dropped myself straight into the spa pool and enjoyed the fantastic view straight down Nelson’s cut. An easy walk to the boat shed restaurant which also has a great view with from a lower elevation. Despite being on the hill set back from Rocks rd you’d struggle to hear anything other than the peaceful neighbourhood. Highly recommend this accomodation Thanks very much for great communication enabling everything from start to finish. Thank you very much Luke

Lovely views from this property. But not ideal for large vehicles. Very hard to park vehicle. But managed to keep drive clear. The stairs inside not ideal if you 6 foot and over. Our guys banged theirs heads a few times.

Thanks Julie, glad you enjoyed the views here and managed to park your large vehicle. Appreciate your feedback and we've fleshed out our "Things to note" on our listing to provide a bit more detail in the hope this is helpful to future guests :-) *Access - Please note the shared driveway is on the steep side. Highly recommend staying at 'Ocean Dreaming'. Was my first time in Nelson for a long time, and the views over the harbour from the deck and living spaces were phenomenal. House was lovely and clean, and the well equipped kitchen meant we could cook delicious feasts. Spa was a treat as well. The Holiday Nelson team were great help with a few admin wrinkles, and over all the stay was as relaxing and as restorative as I'd hoped. Would definitely stay there again.

beautiful place, amazing views. Had everything you might need and more, including pantry basics, games cupboard, hairdryer, umbrella, well equipped kitchen. Lots of heaters and heat pump kept us cozy. A short but steep walk down to restaurants and sea front. Quiet, peaceful location. Close to central city (5 min drive).

Amazing views and great location! The interior is a little dated and some of the kitchen utensils could do with a good clean. Shower upstairs has poor water pressure but beds are comfy. Overall a good place to spend a few days in Nelson.

We had a great stay here. The place is a little unusual in how it's laid out, but that' to be expected with an establish home on a steep hill. Part of the charm is that it's not a cookie-cutter condo. The bed we used was comfortable and of all the places we've stayed recently, it had the most useful full sized kitchen appliances and large selection of everything else you'd need to prepare food. The views were terrific and even though driving is required to get anyplace (unless you like very steep hills with narrow winding streets and no sidewalks), the harbor and central Nelson are just a few minutes away. They provided a link with recommended restaurants, and attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it highly!

We were only able to stay 2 days and wish we could have stayed longer. The road to the house reminded us of a windy San Francisco road. Views from the house were stunning.Holiday Nelson -

A lovely home to stay in with our two children. The house was immaculate and the views were spectacular. The spa was a winner with the kids. We very much enjoyed our stay here and the host was amazing.

The Fifeshire property was ready and perfectly clean upon arrival; very nicely set up with more than enough towels and linens, and the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, etc.. more than you might expect. Very nicely outfitted for a full month stay when you will do more cooking and really settle in. We had occasion to meet both Jarrod and Rob, who were first class. Well run operation from booking to payment to check in and departure. Not sure if this is on the website or house info, but it is about a 6 minute (4 if you hurry) walk to the bus stop on the 6 which is super-convenient. We had a car, but used the bus a number of times. Also, the house is just over the hill to downtown Nelson, easy walking distance. Thank you all for facilitating our great month in Nelson! Rebecca and Bill (and daughters Christina and Madison and son David too!)
