A cozy, romantic & private getaway located in a peaceful, secluded haven away from traffic and street noise, yet within minutes of the central city.

This charming 1908 cottage has been tastefully presented with stylish furnishings & original artworks to create an elegant & comfortable accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped with French doors opening onto a sunny private courtyard.

Birdsongs & sunshine throughout the day add to the charm of the property.

Bordered by the Brook stream, the house is linked by riverside walkways to the centre of town, restaurants, galleries, leafy parks & walking & riding trails!

Brookville Cottage is ideal for 2 ~ 5 guests. Adults & children are welcome. The cottage comes equipped with WiFi, Smart TV, office for working guests, fully fenced garden as well as off street parking for 2 vehicles.

⭐️ 3 Bedrooms (Sleeps up to 5)

• 1 (Master): King bed, 2) Queen bed, 3) Bedroom/Study: King-Single sofa bed with topper (Standard configuration is as a bedroom & reconfigurable as a study by early request).

⭐️ 2 Bathrooms

• 1 (Master ensuite): Shower over Bath, Toilet & Vanity, 2 (Main bathroom) Shower, Toilet & Laundry facilities.

⭐️ Laundry

• Washer & Tub are provided in the Main bathroom.

• Perfect secluded location at the City Fringe, in a quiet enclave of character homes.

• The home is linked by riverside walkways to the centre of town. Close to local schools, Grampians Reserve, Botanical Garden, the Suter Art Gallery & the Nelson City Centre (just a 10 min walk away).

⭐️ Inclusions

• Brookville Cottage will be presented with beds made, ready for your stay.

• All utilities, linens & towels, use of all listed property amenities, pantry & sanitary basics, departure linen service & standard housekeeping up to 3 hours will be included in your booking.

• Extra charges will apply where additional cleaning, BBQ or oven cleaning or excessive rubbish disposal is required.

⭐️ Booking Conditions & Notes

• No party or venue use. No Smoking. No pets. General Terms & Conditions apply.

• Bedroom 3 is a Study with King-Single sofa bed with topper and configured as a bedroom by default. Please make an early request for this to be configured as a Study if this is your preference.

⭐️ Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm.

• Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

⭐️ Check-out is to be completed by 10am on your day of departure.

• Late check-out (by 12pm/noon or as agreed in writing) can usually be offered for an additional charge. This request should be made at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your departure.

“Perfect location for getting around Nelson on foot. Queen’s Gardens is just down the “brook” (in which one can see eels, by the way), and the CBD (Central Business District) is also an easy walk away. The unit was very well equipped, including some supply items that one doesn’t normally find in a rental. We’d definitely stay here again—in fact we hope to be back within a year to do just that.”

“We totally enjoyed our 4-week stay in Nelson at the Brookside cottage. Location is very walkable, with jaunts to the Queen’s Gardens and the Central Buiness District (CBD) easy to accomplish. The variety of vegetation is almost overwhelming—from a Redwood tree on the way to Queen’s Gardens, to the mandarin and lemon trees located on the grounds. More strenuous hikes to the Centre of New Zealand and the Arthur Whitaker trail can be initiated out the front door of the unit—no need to drive somewhere and then start hiking. The unit came well equipped, and although there is a plethora of cafes and restaurants in the CBD, we did a fair bit of meal preparation in the unit, and found everything we needed to do that. We hope to come back and repeat our visit in another year!”
