Rimu House is located atop a sun-blessed ridge with exceptional sea views, rural & peaceful yet just 10 min from Nelson City Centre! The house is bright, rustic, & decorated with original local paintings.

Set amidst an incredible variety of plantings, entertaining areas, gardens & trails to explore, it is an incredible property with origins in Nelson's founding years when it was a site for testing the suitability of new tree crops to New Zealand!

Rimu House is special & provides a unique New Zealand experience. The 'Geodesic Marae Dome' & 'Geodesic Sanctuary/Healing Dome' offer optional additional sleeping areas. Surrounded by pristine forest and powerful nature.

For large family groups/corporate/schools/sports teams, Rimu House can be booked in conjunction with the nearby Seaview Paradise Holiday Home. If you watch the video, Rimu House is located where the children were bouncing on the trampoline!

Serviced by cooking & bathroom facilities in Rimu house & only available by special request:

1) 20-foot Geodesic Marae Dome suitable for workshops, yoga, meditation, etc. (up to 6 occupants)
It offers single marae style with 3 comfortable couches and 3 foam mattresses, and linen provided. $150 per booking + $35 per person per night.

2) 20-foot Geodesic Sanctuary/Healing Dome suitable for retreat. It has two massage tables available, California King bed & linen provided. (up to xx occupants) $150 per booking + $35 per person per night.

3) Apiary - It has 2 King single bed (or 2 Queen bed by early request)

Minimum stay of 2 nights except for 23 Dec ~ 6 Jan (6 nights) & Easter (3 nights). Shorter stays may be accepted by request.

Inclusions

Rimu House will be presented with beds made, ready for your stay. The optional sleeping areas are only made available if these options are requested (additional costs apply).

All utilities, linens & towels, robes, use of all listed property amenities, pantry & sanitary basics, departure linen service & standard housekeeping will be included in your booking. 

Extra charges will apply where additional cleaning, BBQ or oven cleaning or excessive rubbish disposal is required.
 

Professional housekeeping & Linen Laundering

At Holiday Nelson we take a thorough, robust and uncompromised approach toward cleanliness and hygiene practices for your and our families peace of mind... because nothing less will do. 

All high contact, food preparation and hard wet surfaces are hygienically cleaned and sanitised and our linens are professionally laundered at 80ºC, with bed linens further ironed at 120ºC by one of New Zealand's leading laundry experts, leaving them crisp, clean & superbly comfortable! 

Booking Conditions & Notes

No parties, No venue use, No unadvised guests, No illegal substances, No smoking in any area of the property due to fire risk. Pets are not permitted. General Terms & Conditions apply. 

As this home is frequently booked by larger groups & corporates, a full guest list will be required upon booking & a bond agreement will need to be completed upon arrival.

This is a personal home, made available to guests on an occasional basis. This allows you access to a superb & well-equipped home with the trade-off that storage may be required for owner belongings.

Please note that this home is situated on a working farm. Fruits & nuts are supplied to local stores & are not for guests to pick.

Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm or from noon where the option of early check-in has been purchased. Please try to arrive during business hours where possible (our team are available 7 days a week as late as 8pm). Late arrivals are available on request for an additional charge of NZ$50.00.

Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Check-out is to be completed by 10am on your day of departure unless ‘Late check-out’ has been purchased.
