Aporo is perched above the Nelson suburbs of Stoke & Tahunanui with a sense of space, beauty, light & style imbued in the design of the house.
Views take in the blue of Tasman Bay, the mountains of Kahurangi National Park & the wide expanse of Nelson's sunny blue skies!
This holiday home is perfect for up to 4 guests (maximum guest capacity at this property). Aporo is superbly equipped with every home comfort & convenience provided for you. It will be our pleasure to host you in this wonderful home.

Extra charges will apply where additional cleaning, BBQ or oven cleaning or excessive rubbish disposal is required.

At Holiday Nelson we take a thorough approach toward cleanliness and hygiene practices for your and our families peace of mind... because nothing less will do.
All high contact, food preparation, and hard wet surfaces are hygienically cleaned and sanitised and our linens are professionally laundered at 80ºC, with bed linens further ironed at 120ºC by one of New Zealand's leading laundry experts, leaving them crisp, clean & superbly comfortable!

Noise restrictions - Neighbourhood quiet rules apply between 10pm and 7:30am. Breach of this rule may result in security callout & venue charges.
Balcony noise - The neighbouring property's bedroom areas are close to the balcony area here so we ask that guests are always considerate in respect of noise here or when the doors to the home are open to the balcony.
Personal residence - This is a personal home, made available to guests in-between periods of owner use. This allows you access to a superbly equipped home with the trade-off that some storage areas, including the garage, will not be available for guest use.
Car Parking - Off-street parking is available in the driveway.
Check-ins & Check-outs
Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm or from noon where the option of early check-in has been purchased.
Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.
Check-out is to be completed by 10am on your day of departure unless ‘Late check-out’ has been purchased.

Sunny week in a very quiet private Gem!!! The home was on top of a hill looking out over the ocean with gorgeous views. Everything was clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts had left some little essentials in the cupboard which was a nice bonus. Upon leaving a Weka was at the door to farewell us. The area is super private and very quiet. My only complaint, we didn't have long enough here in sunny Nelson, we need a month!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Aporo. It was a great base for us to explore the local area (Abel Tasman national park) and the city of Nelson. The house is immaculately clean. Ideal location, very spacious - a home away from home Aporo Holiday Home was booked for work. We had a few fixers up from Christchurch to work on an install in the area. They came back into the office and commended me on the choice of accommodation. They appreciated each having their own bedroom and space. As well as plenty of room in the kitchen to cook their meals. Don't think they could have got through their week long stay without wifi and that great view though.

The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The service from the Holiday Nelson team was great and communications were clear and helpful. We had no trouble finding our way, getting in to the house and following the instructions about the rubbish and departure requirements. We will definitely book with Holiday Nelson again in future. Hi Hosts We enjoyed our stay with friends.It was well maintained beautiful house with awesome views. The property has everything guests can think of. Only the 4th bedroom which had single bed with trundler was an issue as we were all adult couples and it was difficult to sleep. Apart from that we Loved it. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Rupa

This place is every bit as good as it looks and then some! Breathtaking views, quiet location and not far from the village centre and the beach. The hosts are helpful when needed but allow you to use the space as if it were your own home. I cannot find fault at all, highly recommended

Need something in Nelson? Aporo! Great 4-bedroom house managed by a great team. Great for staying at but also great if you have to stay in. Comfortable and roomy, with a big kitchen and dining table. Comfortable sleeping accommodations. Although no AC seems to be a theme in New Zealand. But the wind whips through and was fine. We would come back here. Give it a try! Everyone was great and very communicative, especially with Cyclone Gita putting a wrench in our plans. So they were flexible with an additional day and found us another spot for after our Abel Tasman hike. To be holed up at Aporo wasn’t too shabby. Great house. There were six of us and the house was perfect. Anything we needed, we got a quick response. And we did venture out in the storm to check out World of Wearable Art (WOW) and car museum which was just down the road. Also Speight Ale Bar was a terrific spot to eat and drink. The storm caused a little ant attack, but we managed them as soon as they hit. Other than that, we’d definitely stay here (or any property that this team manages- they were awesome).

Booking was quick and easy - no problems at all. Beautiful and well equipped home, must be used by owners based on the well stocked kitchen cupboards! Lovely bathrooms and kitchen, lots of space for the three generations in our family that stayed. Cannot access garage but plenty of off street parking available. Wonderful views, very clean and all basic toiletries supplied. About 3 minutes drive to nearby shops, and I think about 7 minutes drive to centre of Nelson. Would happily recommend to other families.

It was the first time I'd used this website and was impressed how easy it was to book. And then the clear instructions I received by email about all the details I'd need to find the place and check in. The house was really lovely. It's so hard to tell from photos what somewhere is like and Aporo exceeded my expectations. Light and airy with great views (when the rain stopped). Tasteful decor with all the comforts u need. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Hello A huge thank you for the wonderful stay. The house was fantastic. Clean, well maintained, warm, inviting and views to die for. Our stay was 2 days of fun in a lovely setting. We read books, watched the planes land ( we were even astounded at how many planes come in and out of Nelson). Had a barbecue, and just thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even when it rained. We would highly recommend your Aporo to any of our family and friends. We hope you were happy with the condition we left the house in. We would stay again if we are in Nelson. Mina & Phill

“Great house with wonderful views of the ocean and tidal flats. Superb deck surrounds the water sides of the property with comfortable outdoor furniture, tables and a grill. House has everything you could want, even had a pantry stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, oils, paper towels, all the things you don't want to have to go out and buy when you arrive. Location is a water view residential district above city center with direct road access North to the Abel Tasman route avoiding the morning and evening city traffic. ”

Hi there We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Aporo. It was beautifully presented and extremely comfortable. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting larger accommodation in Nelson. My brother from Melbourne mentioned that a shower caddy would be good to put things in, in the main bathroom but otherwise it was very well appointed.Our only problem was the weather on Friday night-Nelson fog-which prevented four of us getting down to Nelson until Saturday morning-only the groom and Dennis his father got to sleep there Friday night- leaving the rest of us us only 30 minutes to get changed and ready for our son's wedding. We would all have loved to have spent longer at Aporo and enjoy the fabulous view for longer. Thank you

The house was beautiful, and the view--spectacular! We enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, and the large sized kitchen and patio area that was well-appointed with pans and cooking supplies. The large windows that opened up in the kitchen, dining and lounge area were nicely designed to create an indoor/outdoor space with breezy airflow that prevented us from getting hot in those rooms on warmer days. In a town with tricky/difficult parking on the hillside, we appreciated the easy parking and access to the house. Would we stay again? In a heartbeat! I also found your service (Holiday Nelson) to be especially professional and helpful. Thanks again!

Hi Jarrod and Peta-Jane, Aporo is a fantastic house which we loved staying in, the location is perfect - within 5-10 minutes driving distance to the beach and the town centre, getting a taxi into town and back was easy and cheap! The views are stunning and the house is so quiet, it was very easy to relax in. It has been well planned for a holiday home with every convenience we could think of, the artwork was amazing and the house is incredibly warm, comfortable and sunny. We loved staying here and would recommend for couples or families! A couple of things it might pay to bring to the owners attention, the tiles to the front door are treacherous when wet, my husband slipped on them a couple of times on the day we left and we got a takeaway pizza delivered on the last night and the delivery guy fell over. Also there is a bit of an ant infestation happening within the house, didn’t bother us too much but it might with other people. Once again, thank you for your help with us getting this house - we would love to come back to it for another holiday!!

Thanks for this great feedback! We'll look at what we can do to add extra grip to the tiles in the rain and we'll begin baiting for ants. Ants have been present at many properties this Summer - it's been a great one for the ants with exceptionally good weather & very little rain. Thanks again.

High spec beautiful home with amazing big open plan living space, and stunning view over the sound. Aporo was absolutely beautiful. We were greeted with a stunning sunset - the living space was perfect for our needs and the bedrooms worked out really well. Able to hire great travel cot and high chair for low cost. Great facilities to keep warm in winter- electric blankets on all beds, loads of extra blankets and hot water bottles (we're Brits so used to central heating which doesn't tend to exist in NZ). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
