Incredible sweeping views across the waters of Sandy Bay & the National Park's pristine coastline augment the home's sublime architecture - fine detailing, soaring vertical spaces, extensive internal & outdoor living, four bedrooms, a heated infinity-edge pool & spa.

Split Apple Villa is secluded from both road & neighbours. A private walking track meanders down to the foreshore, with Marahau village accessible across the sands for 1.5 hours either side of low tide. The renowned Split Apple Rock beach is just 10 minutes walk away & Kaiteriteri Beach just 10 minutes drive.

A truly private location with easy access to a myriad of local attractions - the national park, incredible golden sand beaches, wineries & local artisans. Split Apple Villa is the perfect place to make great holiday memories with the people you love.

The property will be presented with beds made, ready for your stay.

All utilities, linens & towels, use of all listed property amenities, pantry & sanitary basics, departure linen service & standard housekeeping will be included in your booking.

Extra charges will apply where additional cleaning, BBQ or oven cleaning or excessive rubbish disposal is required.

Linens & Towels & Housekeeping

Holiday Nelson uses quality linens & towels. These are 90º washed to ensure hygiene & all non-fitted sheets are pressed for your comfort. 

At the end of your stay, a standard house-keep is included - allowing you to finish your stay with that relaxing holiday-feel intact.

Due to the many stairways, balustrades & steep areas in the surrounding bush & trails, young children will require careful supervision. Please contact us if you are travelling with young children.

Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm (as specified in listing & arrival details) or from noon where the option of early check-in has been purchased.
Please try to arrive during business hours where possible (our team are available 7 days a week as late as 8pm).
Late arrivals are available on request for an additional charge of NZ$50.00.
Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

  • A fantastic home, very private and amazing views. Spa pool is superb as is the open fire on a cold evening. Bring eye masks if you don't like sleeping in rooms with no curtains. Shower pressure is little more than a dribble but this is due to a very limited water supply I think.

    Thanks for your feedback on the nature immersion design of the home. While we and our homeowners love the concept of waking naturally to light, we appreciate this will not suit all visitors. However, we have discussed this question with other visitors and most love the totally private and intimate bush outlook of the lower bedroom level. We will continue to seek visitors’ feedback on this question and make a decision on window treatments by the end of the season. We’re sorry that shower pressure was an issue during your stay and do wish that you had let us know then so that we could have had that attended to! The showers are certainly not power showers but are more than a dribble! The water supply for all properties in this area is rainwater tank supply and while we do of course support water conservation we are also in favour of a satisfactory shower. We will be re-checking all filters to ensure no blockage, which may be a problem on the hot water inlet supply. To support the needs of the pool and spa, a generous supply of water is provided and topped up when needed by water tanker.
