Grove Garden Villa

Great hosts, very happy with the level of communication and service. The house is lovely and in a fabulous location. It is only a short walk into town. The house has very nice classic features and the kitchen is great too.

A stunning property - perfect for our group of six adults for the weekend. Everything immaculately clean. Beautifully presented & well-equipped. Beautiful kitchen & bathrooms and plenty of space for us all. Great location for walking to town and to Founders Park for the cider festival!

Very clear instructions and communication. This bach has a great vibe with its beautiful rooms, high ceilings and authentic details: just loved this style of house. Location is great to walk into town and explore the Nelson/Tasman area.

Jarrod, PJ and Sara, We--Sandi, Sam and Hannah--really enjoyed staying at Grove Garden Villa for our month+ vacation. Nelson was the perfect place in NZ and our location couldn't have been better for easy access to all the things we loved to do, like walking along the river every day, hiking up the hill to the "center of New Zealand", going to the many excellent restaurants in town, the Saturday Market, The Quaker meetinghouse, the movies, renting bikes right across from the iSite Center and more. We certainly put our walking shoes to good use! Hannah even joined a fitness center downtown and went to yoga classes for the month. The only disadvantage with the location was the noise on Friday and Saturday nights (till 3 or 4:00 a.m.!) from many people walking on the adjacent sidewalks or across the bridge loudly talking, singing or arguing, going home after a night out at the pub. The house itself was very comfortable, an older house nicely refurbished. Beds were comfortable and the room-darkening curtains were much appreciated allowing us to get extra sleep. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and tableware (just one suggestion--to provide a cheese plane). I did personally find the heavy down duvet too hot for the season, so we had to remove that and buy a fleece blanket to find the right comfort level in bed, and we left that grey queen blanket in it's plastic case in the front room with queen bed for future guests. I especially loved having a garden producing vegetables, fruit and herbs that we could eat, and garden work I could help with--pruning and tying up tomato vines, weeding, and watering. It made our temporary summer complete for me. It was fun meeting Steve, the owner, when he came to do some work, as he hails from our state of Maine in the US. And we really appreciated your prompt responses to the questions and concerns we had while staying there. If we ever come back to Nelson, a high likelihood, and need a place for 3 or 4 people, we will certainly get back in touch with you about Grove Garden Villa.

Professional and friendly...great! This is a great little spot...I have travelled as a corporate for over 20 years and I always judge a property on cleanliness, the linen and the kitchen (be it in motels, hotels or homes!) This place ticked all the boxes...and the only minor tweak I would suggest would be a mirror for us girls in the shower room and a full length mirror somewhere in a bedroom. Would love to go back with friends and enjoy the sun in the lounge late afternoon with a wine or two as we didn't get enough time. Thanks

Lovely spacious accommodation. Close to all the shops. Gardens were immaculate.
