Guest feedback

“My family and I can’t recommend Haulashore highly enough, we have a 2 year old and a 9 month old and having them feel settled was the most important, the place felt like home immediately. We then had the most spectacular views and were able to enjoy it with good coffee and a very comfortable home! Thank you Jarrod and Peta-Jane we will be sure to visit again!!” Olivia & Family, Sep 2011

“Great bach with lot’s off comfort and superb views! Haulashore island, the ships, the clouds in beautiful colours… The masterbedrom with a view to die for ! Lot off books, magazins and great tv . We went to the Jazz-festival at Fairfield Park and had some nice diners in Nelson.. walked along the quay.. etcetc. We had a lovely 2 weeks!” Cobie & Eric, Jan 2011

“Haulashore Views is a fabulous holiday home. It is sunny, has wonderful views and is perfectly located to enjoy all the local attractions. We had wonderful meals at local restaurants, Hopgoods and the Boat Shed. The region is perfectly situated to enjoy local wineries or a day trip to Kaiteretere. We had a really lovely holiday.” Jo & Jan – Jul 2010

“You may be wondering why there was such a large gap in feedback between now and the last entry. I can explain! My husband and I monopolized it for ourselves for 5 MONTHS! And oh my goodness what a dream come true it was. We did an immense amount of searching and researching before settling on Haulashore Views and our investment paid off 100 times over. Just looking at the pictures makes me nostalgic for our time there. I must have spent 50% of our time just mesmerized by the view, which was ever changing and inspiring. And the sunsets interrupted many dinnertime conversations. The location is incredible – just one mile from the beach (but only one block from the water) and one mile into town, it is incredibly walkable. The home is very well supplied with linens and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of kitchen tools (since I did a lot of cooking taking advantage of the amazing local produce available at the Saturday and Wednesday markets). The setting is very quiet and private and Amy, the neighbors adorable dog, will great you every time you walk by. (We love her and miss her). This is a wonderful location to use as a hub while enjoying the surrounding areas. Don’t miss Tahunanui Beach (the back side of the beach is often deserted and so peaceful), Mapua (The Golden Bear Brewery), Golden Bay (Takaka and surrounding beaches), Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman National Park (kayak). There is so much to see and do, but the gorgeous home made it hard to leave. The weather was stunning (even in winter) and Jarrod and PJ were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Thank you thank you thank you for helping us make this the trip of a lifetime!” Kurt & Lisa McCloud – Jul 2010

“Location location location. A wonderful home in a superb location. The house is perfect in every detail. BBQ and outdoor seating was fantastic and a super place to sit and sample the NZ wine. Thankyou very much, we will be back.” Ady & Becks UK – Jan 2010

“What a wonderful house and location, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly Recommended :)” Brooke – June 2009

“My family had the pleasure of staying at Haulashore Views for a reunion during winter and are certain that we could not have found a better spot. The place was a sun trap and was totally equipped to exceed all of our expectations. The only drawback was that the view was so magnificent that it made leaving the place a chore. Overwhelmingly recommended!”
Mike Hardinge – Jun 2009

“My family were visiting NZ from the UK so I wanted to be sure they had a holiday of a lifetime. Haulashore Views helped make that possible with its great location, amazing views and a general feel around the place that encouraged us to kick back and relax. The one minor issue we experienced was dealt with efficiently by the very helpful James who lives only a stones throw away. Would recommend.” David Robinson – Apr 2009

“Wonderful place, and really helpful and kind owners. We stayed here with family for our wedding. Just our luck—the famous Nelson sun had crapped out and we were feeling a bit glum.. But once we got to our new digs.. Another world. Amazing view. Mother in law spent an hour or so looking in awe out out the window, taking in all in. Or course the weather cleared up and all was good. Wedding was a blast. And it was also great to come back to ‘our’ home, and entertain visitors. The views really are quite something. Thanks PJ and Jared (and thank you, also, for your special gift.) It’s a really great place. We’ll be back!” Heath and Sachiko – Feb 2009

“Beautiful house and views” Stepney Family – Feb 2009

“AAA+++ We had the best time, the house was beyond our expectations, everything we needed and more, toddler friendly, close to fab restaurants and beaches. Easy to find, clean yet very homely. If we are ever in Nelson we will deffinatly be back!” Tasha – Feb 2009

“A beautifully maintained home in a serene, private spot with divine views across the sea and the island. Easy walking distance to exquisite restaurants (thanks for the tip re Boat Shed – it was a very romantic finish to our anniversary trip).” Patsy – Dec 2008
