Nelson Waterfront Holiday Home | 3 bedrooms | 1.5 bathrooms | $179 ~ $355+/night

Property description

Captain’s Cottage is a charming & historic character cottage situated on one of the most beautiful city waterfronts in the world, a position that stares unblinkingly at Nelson’s harbour entrance, just a short walk from some of the City’s best waterfront eateries, the iconic Tahunanui beach & only a short drive or manageable walk from the City centre.

From the sunlit verandah a beautiful stained glass & solid timber door opens to the beautiful warmth of the wide-milled matai timber floors & finishings. The formal dining area with seating for 6 & views for all lies to the left & the comfortable Queen master bedroom with ensuite toilet to the right. Through the hall the house opens to elevated sky-light lit timber tongue & groove ceilings, & a gorgeous bespoke granite-top & matai cabinetry kitchen – equipped with all the essentials for a great stay plus a Nespresso coffee machine, gas stove top & double-door fridge.

The lounge area is spacious with large screen television with FreeView Satellite, DVD player & BOSE music system with iPhone/iPad dock. French doors bring morning sun & open to a private deck & courtyard that wraps around the cottage. You’ll find a BBQ & small outdoor dining table here. The bathroom is stunning – timber floors, ceilings & walls & a new frameless glass & tile shower enclosure that provides the best of modern bathroom fittings while adding to the character of the room.

Up a compact nautical style stairway are two more bedrooms: One configured as a Queen & the other as twin single. Both bedrooms offer sensational views over the harbour entrance… a perfect respite for any seafaring Captain, travelling family, group of friends or even a couple seeking a romantic getaway. Captain’s Cottage is one of our most popular waterfront properties…
