Central City Sanctuary is a beautiful character bungalow, lovingly renovated by designer & builder owner-couple, cherished as a wonderful family home & without a doubt, a place that brings calm beckons relaxation & inspires one to enjoy both times at home & the beautiful city & surrounds at your doorstep!

Enjoy sweeping views across the City & inner-city suburbs to the Haven Estuary & beautiful Tasman Bay to the North, the Centre of New Zealand reserve & the natural playground of the Maitai Valley to the East!

The home itself is set in bush surrounds amidst a quality character home. From the off-street parking, a tree-lined path welcomes you home. In the private courtyard, lawn & garden area is space for the children to play, a trampoline & swing for them to enjoy. Chickens (Silkies & a Frizzle) roam their enclosure & provide Nelson’s best eggs for breaky! Step inside to a beautiful farm-style kitchen-dining area – ideal for food lovers, entertainers. A place that makes every meal effortlessly special.

From the kitchen, perfectly restored rimu timber floors lead you to the lounge with large screen TV with TIVO, Blue Ray player & stereo. The adjacent sunroom offers a wonderful place in which to work, read, play games or watch the views! The master bedroom, also gorgeously decorated, offers a comfortable Queen bed & also enjoys sensational views. A charming children's room next door offers twin singles & the 3rd bedroom also offers a stylish setting & Queen bed.

For walkers & riders, the surrounding hills provide a myriad of walking & mountain-biking trails including access to the Maitai River paths, Centre of New Zealand, Codgers & Sharlands riding areas & the popular Dunn-Mountain Coppermine Trail. The city below is just a 15 minutes walk away – offering a huge number of quality eateries, cafes, attractions & services!

Minimum stay of 2 nights except for 23 Dec ~ 6 Jan (6 nights) & Easter (3 nights). Shorter stays may be accepted by request.

Inclusions

Central City Sanctuary will be pre-cleaned with beds made, ready for your stay.

All utilities, linens & towels, use of property amenities including TIVO TV, WiFi, pantry & sanitary basics, departure linen service & standard housekeeping up to 3 hours will be included in your booking.

Extra charges will apply where additional cleaning, BBQ or oven cleaning or excessive rubbish disposal is required.

Professional housekeeping & Linen Laundering

At Holiday Nelson we take a thorough, robust and uncompromised approach toward cleanliness and hygiene practices for your and our families peace of mind... because nothing less will do. 

All high contact, food preparation and hard wet surfaces are hygienically cleaned and sanitised and our linens are professionally laundered at 80ºC, with bed linens further ironed at 120ºC by one of New Zealand's leading laundry experts, leaving them crisp, clean & superbly comfortable! 

Booking Conditions

No party or venue use. No smoking inside. No pets. General Terms & Conditions apply. 

This home is owner-occupied for much of the year & made available to guests during the Summer. This makes for a superbly equipped home, but some storage areas may be shared & some personal items may remain at the property. 

Check-in is possible anytime after 2pm or from noon where the option of early check-in has been purchased. 

Early check-in (12pm/noon and in some cases earlier) can usually be offered for an additional charge. Please request this at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

Check-out is to be completed by 10am on your day of departure unless ‘Late check-out’ has been purchased.
